Jek Namen’s journey began when he was arrested as a young child by the Order of the Eternal Watchers for the sin of sorcery. Recognizing his latent potential, the Watchers decided to train him as an Ancilla, a sacrificial attack dog in their service. However, fate intervened during one of his training excursions when he encountered a member of the ancient Asakura order, Brother Knight Verenzian, who liberated him and took him to the Asakura monastery on Portum for training.

Under the tutelage of Brother Knight Verenzian, Jek learned to harness and temper his abilities, ultimately becoming a Thaumaturgy. With newfound control over his powers, he returned to the Protectorate seeking to make a difference for the common people. However, circumstances forced him to rejoin the Watchers, though this time not as an Ancilla but in a lowly position within the organization.

Despite facing friction with the Watchers, who seek to exploit his abilities, Jek remains resolute in his determination to improve the plight of those like him—individuals who wielded uncontrollable power and were left abandoned and hunted.
